Welcome to the
Welcome from Dave Townsend, Grand Strand Chapter President
Thank you for visiting our new website. Our chapter is a welcoming and active organization with 160 members. Membership is open to active duty, retired, and former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the uniformed services (Active, Reserve, National Guard, and State Guard): Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In general, we support veterans’ issues locally and nationally. We provide leadership awards and college scholarships to deserving area high school cadets in JROTC units. We attend and support numerous veteran activities in the Grand Strand area including the “Stand Down” for homeless veterans, May Military Appreciation Month events and Memorial Day parade. We let our voice be known concerning legislative issues both at the state and national levels.
We normally have a dinner meeting ten months of the year (excluding July and August) at the Pine Lakes Country Club on the second Tuesday of the month. You are invited to give us a try. Call me at 843-907-1763 to make a reservation, and I hope to welcome you to our award-winning chapter,
