The Chapter was formed on January 13, 1960.
It's membership consists of currently serving; former retired officers
and their survivors.
Again in 2014 our chapter, over
strong, received the MOAA’s national
“5 Star” Level of Excellence award.
This was our
Third attempt in the very
intense competition and AGAIN we went
to the top level!
We cannot say enough
for all that helped put us there.

The Reserve Officers Training Corps program at Coastal is one of the many activities in which Grand Strand Chapter members participate.
Traditionally the president of the Grand Strand Chapter,
presents Gold Bars to the new Army officers from the
ROTC program at CCU at the graduation exercises. Those officers will receive the first year’s membership in national MOAA and the chapter
